As a staunch Ron Paul supporter, I feel the need to inform you of the true aims of his purpose in this election. Back in the '88 election, a man you're probably familiar with named Pat Robertson was running. He had about as much a chance of winning as Ron Paul did.
But with his religious convictions and his message, he got a good deal of support. So much that, he won a good deal of delegates. So many delegates that, he was able to make a stand.
Not so that he would win the presidency, or ensure that he would be vice president or anything. Those weren't his goals anyway. I mean, don't get me wrong, he would have taken the job if he had won, but he was being realistic about the way the American public votes on such matters.
His stand was a genius one, and about the only way one man can manipulate the two party system we now have. He would use his delegates as bidding chips, for ideological points. He could infuse his religious messages and views into what the party would become, for many years to come.
Up until that point, the party was somewhat religious, but nowhere near to the point they later became (not arguing for or against that, just stating what happened). Now, if you replace all that information; the name Pat Robertson with Ron Paul, and the world religious with Libertarian, then you basically have Ron Paul's tactics for this election. He just followed that formula, pretty much exactly.
It has pretty much already succeeded. We just have to wait for the convention for the final results. That is what a victory basically was for us in this election.
Don't get me wrong, those things you stated did happen to a certain extent, about the party not willing to give Paul and breathing room. But let's not believe the illusion that we actually do have a choice anymore. Wall Street, some rich and powerful, including some offshore folks control and manipulate our political system.
Paul is doing all that was in his power to do. He is changing the scope of the GOP from within, for the benefit of us all, including the GOP. The desired result is a party with more liberty-anti state, anti despotism minded leanings.
There are now, officially state GOP chairmen who are against war and things of that nature as we speak right now. But it will take a while to come to fruition in the polls and in our states.
It's rigged. The elections that is. The elite in power dislike Ron Paul because he would jeopardize their interests.
Thus, with all their money, power and influence they make sure he doesn't win. The votes have been tampered with, there's evidence of that.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
