I think there are differences. There's a lot of research out there about the differences between baby boomers and millennials and Gen X that has to do with how they grew up. Gen X were the first generation to experience widespread divorce among their parents and broken homes made them very independent and a bit cynical.
Millennials had very doting baby boomer parents so have a different view of the world. The young people today are also in a much more difficult situation economically than almost any generation before.
I don't think there is much of a difference. A kid born in 1980 would be bombarded by MTV--well, all television. Cable, VCRs, and video games were around.
Computers and the internet came mid-swing for them when they were early teens. They wanted to experience fame, but were disappointed when the world turned out to be nothing like the "tv-box" promised. A kid born in 1990 would be surrounded by social media and the internet as a teen and so would have an outlet to be seen and heard at a young age.
Kids born in 2000 are very far removed from those born 20 years earlier and the kids born in 2010 will not have the benefit of education, unfortunately. I'm guessing the MTV generation will be a flop. I have high hopes for the young kids in college today though.
They will have a lot of problems to solve.
Today's generations are also becoming desensitized in a way that they are becoming hardened emotionally and spiritually. The images they take in the life experiences and how they are being raised is making a drastic difference in character development. I can say that I am a bit concerned for the new generation of leaders who are seemingly lost in this materialistic society.
Thanks for the insight hubbers.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
