How late will my period be if I started my birth control late?

I started my birth control pack a week after I usually start it. I should have started my period 12 days ago and I'm worried that I might be pregnant. I take my pills at the same time everyday and my boyfriend "pulls out" during sex, because I'm too worried about getting pregnant.

I'm now wondering if I'm late b. C I started my B. C pack late or if im pregnant?!

I'm not experiencing any of the signs of being pregnant and it just doesn't make sense that I would be but im freaking out and wanted to get some feedback! Thanks! Asked by katu 34 months ago Similar questions: late period started birth control Health > Reproduction.

You don't understand how the birth control works... The reason you start taking the pills the Sunday after your period is so that the pills can control the hormones your body produces so that they can control when you ovulate. When you started the pack a week late your body had already started doing it’s own thing. So it’s very doubtful that the pill would be able to control ovulation.

And what happened to using a condom? You expose yourself to a lot of STD’s. If he has ever been with anyone else he may carry chlamydia or the human papiloma virus which could forever change your life."Pulling out" has always jokingly been referred to as birth control for people who want a child.

Even if he does not ejaculate inside the fluid that leaks out beforehand can contain semen. All it takes is ONE sperm to get the job done. Just because you don’t have pregnancy symptoms is no assurance you are not pregnant since the nausea doesn’t kick in right away.

First symptoms aside from the missed cycle will be fatigue and breast tenderness. You need to do a pregnancy test with the first morning sample of urine ( when it is the most concentrated). If it comes out negative and you still have not gotten a period you need to use condoms 100% for the next week and repeat the pregnancy test.

( this is so you can be confident of the result without having another possibility of pregnancy having sneaked in ) You should always use a condom but at the very least use one until you get a period and hopefully can start the pills on the Sunday after it starts. Call your GYN, you need to understand all this so you can make better choices. Sources: personal knowledge,my job .

If so, you could be pregnant, even if you started them again, and your boyfriend "pulls out" . The reason for taking a pill every day, even the inert ones, is to build up and keep a certain level of medication in your body. If you skipped a week, you didn't do that.

Since you are now 12 days late, you need to take a pregnancy test.

Will it be a boy or a girl? " .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
