How long before my cats are back to "Normal" (in quotes, because they are cats)?

1 well, considering what declawing entails, I can't tell you how long it will take their front paws to recover enough to not be sore. However, a cat will typically bounce back from spaying within 24 hours. Considering it's a holiday weekend, as long as there is improvement, rather than decline, I would give it until tuesday before getting fussy about it.

2 I'm no expert, but it could be just a hangover from the medication, plus the fact that a change of surroundings seems to upset them. As for their recovery, I'd wait a few more days. To test if they're not eating, you could try giving them some white fish.

Most cats go crazy over it.

3 When my daughter had her two cats declawed she was given antibiotics to give them for quite a few days to stave off any infections that could occur. She was also told not to use litter for about a week, but to fill the litter box with shredded paper, so the litter wouldn't bother their paws. I would ask my vet about that.It did take a few days for them to get back to normal.

I imagine it must be very painful.

4 Yeah, If I had my fingernails ripped out....I am not sure how long it would take me to recover! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
