I sprained my ankle playing basketball 5 weeks ago, I can now walk with no pain but when I try running at full speed or try moving sideways at full speed, I feel a sharp pain around my ankle area. I try bending it foward laying the foot on the ground but the same sharp pain reoccurs. Did I tear anything that requires surgery because I'm really worried that I'll need surgery.

See a doc We can't look at your x-rays from here. Sprains can take nearly forever to heal as evolution did not put much of an emphasis on transitory injury and pain. It's unlikely anything major is "broken", but it will take lots of Xrays and cat scans to see if anything is torn.
If this bothers you and you have excellent health insurance you can go to a doc. Watch out though as X-rays and even more so CAT scans and MRI's are very expensive. As is surgery..
Definitely get yourself an x-ray to see if there is a fracture. If not, then you really need to start a good ankle rehab program. You need to break up the scar tissue and really strengthen the joint.
I would try a good rehab program before considering surgery. Com.
It can be a few things. Many times people think it is just an old sprain but it can be much worse. The best thing to do is get an X-ray.
If the results are negative and you still feel this pain request and M.R.I. An M.R.I checks the tissue to make sure there is no damage on ligaments etc. If everything is ok after that then purchase an ankle brace to prevent further aggravation to your ankle. Html.
1 You need to ask a doctor about this. It is very possible that you have damaged your ankle to the point where you are going to need surgery. That being said, there is nothing that a group of total strangers who cannot see your ankle can tell you, and you should not be asking strangers about something this medically serious.
Go to a doctor.

2 At this point, it would seem like this is more than just a sprain. Go to or talk with your doctor because this sounds like something beyond a sprain. Plus, you really don't want medical advice from us.
Hope you don't need surgery! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
