I have started my tomatoes indoors. First, buy seed from a reliable company...not some grocery store bargain. I buy from Johnny's seeds.
Second, I put the seeds in sterile soil starting medium. Third, I put them on a heat strip to give the plants bottom heat. The plants germinated in three days.
If you don't want to buy a heat strip, just put the pots or cubes somewhere warm in the house. The tops of refrigerators used to be warm. The bottom heat really gives seeds a jump start.
They will not need light until they germinate. If all you do is put the seeds in dirt, they probably will germinate in about 10 days. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
