There is no set time that it takes to dilate fully. You can begin dilating at a rapid pace, and then just slow to a crawl. Ten centimeters is full dilation.
You can be around a 3-4 before the doctor ever admits you to labor and delivery. A Pitocin drip will speed up labor and thus speed up dilation, but this time frame is hard to predict.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
