How long should a woman wait before attempting to get pregnant after stopping the pill?

I got pregnant less than a month after stopping the pill and I'd been using if over 4 years. My doctor told me there were no known risks of getting pregnant accidentally even while using the pill as long as you don't continue to use it, so I would assume getting pregnant shortly after use would be safe as well but could be more difficult to estimate due date. When I was reading up on it myself though to my understanding most women don't end up getting pregnant for a year to 6 months.

The link below supports my doctors opinion.

The old line was that the woman should wait two or three months because any sooner and she was at higher risk for miscarriage. It has been discovered that that isn't the case, however. She may begin ovulating again within two to six weeks, but it's not unusual for women going off the pill to take up to a year before becoming pregnant.

If she gets pregnant very soon after, that can apparently make it more difficult to predict the due date, but babies seldom come just when they're supposed to, anyway. I got pregnant two months after taking the pill, and my son was three weeks late according to the due date my doctor gave me, but it all turned out okay in the end.

After you stop taking the pill, you may have only a two-week delay before you ovulate again. Your period would follow about four to six weeks after you take the last pill. Once ovulation resumes, you can become pregnant.

If this happens during your first cycle off the pill, you may not have a period at all. Although this scenario is possible, it isn't likely. This information is directly from the mayoclinic.com.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
