How many Dual Core Xeon Processors can I use with Windows XP Professional?

I'm trying to built a new computer, but I'm not sure that I can install Windows XP Professional in a 2 Dual Core Xeon Processor environment. I want to make sure the computer takes advantage of all 4 cores. Windows XP with SP2 is capable of supporting multiple physical sockets and multiple-core designs. Windows XP supports two sockets. These sockets can both be filled with Duo Core Xeon Processors, leading to a four core environment.

This has been demonstrated numerous times. So, if you have two dual-core processors, Windows XP will use them both, for a total of four processing units. And if you enable hyperthreading on those processors, you get eight virtual processors out of the deal!

There is also a handful of FBD channels, some people say there were only two functional on this board out of the four that should be in the final product. Rumours floating around the show says that there are problems with Blackford, but that was quickly shot down by more knowledgeable people who said it is very healthy for a chip in the current stage of development. Expect a new stepping in a month or two, and that should be the final release.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
