How many men served during the Tonkin Gulf war?

You're probably asking, how many men fought in the Tonkin Gulf sea battle (officially called the Tonkin Gulf Incident) The first naval engagement, which was an actual sea fight, involved probably 300 men aboard the US destroyer USS Maddox, as well as possibly a dozen or less US Naval airmen flying F8 Crusaders which also attacked the North Viet Navy torpedo boats. The North Viet Navy P4 torpedo boats had maybe less than a dozen North Vietnamese Sailors aboard the 3 or 4 boats...so less than 50 men Altogether, probably less than 500 men fought in the 02 August 1964 sea engagement (1st Tonkin Gulf Incident) The second incident, involved the two destroyers USS Turner Joy & USS Maddox. There quite possibly being no enemy present (just radar ghosts), only the two destroyer crews would have been directly involved...being roughly 600 men or so.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
