How many people created their first website on Geocities?

I did! Way back, years ago! I was still in I wanted to show my friends the pictures I took with my webcam - I was the coolest kid in school because I had a webcam :) lol I had no isea that you could even earn money online, I thought I had to be super rich to own my own dot.com so I went for Geocites!

Great! The site dissappeared over the years though :(.

At the time I was living in France. Much of what was on that site was like a journal of my life back then... and so much has happened since - so many major life changes!

I had to copy the site recently and save it on my pc - not only because of the 'sentimental' content, but it had a lot of interesting stuff on there that I am hoping to re-publish elsewhere...

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
