Once had an offer of a great promotion (more bucks) but was worried that I would miss the job that I had. I was agonizing over it and my dad asked...'couldn't you just go back to this job? " Sounds simple doesn't it.
I was up to my bumm in the swamp though. He was like that, my Dad. Great ideas and ALWAYS on my side.
Mom was no slouch either. I know this makes me a lucky lucky person. I try to pass this on to my step-kid and grandson.
Personally, my parents did crap and were not much help at all. I was told that what I wanted to do was stupid, and no one would support me. I was a loner growing up and they still want me to be.
They tell me that they want me to succeed, but they show no support and refuse to help. If it doesn't benefit them then there's no point in doing it at all.
My parents though me to be responsible and honest. And I think that these are 2 of the most important personal and also professional skills one must have!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
