Basically there are not 9 officials at the shot put. The officials working the shot are called field judges. The head judge will shall allocate the duties of each judge in the event.
Some one is charged with watching the ring to make sure the thrower does not commit a foot foul, and someone watches the athlete to make sure it is a legal attempt. Someone must call the lines that is to make sure the shot does not touch either sector line, and then mark the spot where the shot contacted the sector, and measure it. The chief field judge must determine the validity of any performance by any competitor.
How many work an event depends on the size of the meet, at some meets there is only one real official with volunteers doing most of the work. At major meets there will be 5 or more, any record must be read by 3 different certified officials. There are not 9 officials at the shot put, I have never seen that many even at a national championship.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
