How many tele-marketing calls did you get today?

Although my number is registered with the Do Not Call Registry, I still got 6 + marketing calls yesterday! I know that some agencies are exempt from the do not call, but why am I still getting so many in 1 day! I just started telling the callers to remove my number from their list.

Far fewer since I invested in a couple of gadgets: I am also registered as Do Not Call; there are three numbers that keep on calling, and with one of them I had to look them up in the register of companies because call-back doesn't give their number. My investments were: a cheap machine that will change my voice, and a rape alarm for using with persistently nasty callers. Not very nice, but I do make sure that I'm getting the right person first.(My other strategy, since I sport the title Dr., is to start by asking female callers for the date of their last period, or males about any discharge they might have noticed ... and you can play fun with that theme.

Especially with callers who only know a script and can't cope with diversions).

None We did not get any telemarketing calls. We never do! But when we live in the states we would get them about 1 time a day.

And we were a do not call list as well. And a unlisted phone number. What I think do when they call.. answer the phone and say yeah they are here hold on.

And go back to the phone in likw 15 mins and see if they are still onthe line 2. Answer the phone and say silly things like hey whats your hoe number I would like to call you at home. 3.

Answer the phone when they ask for the person lay the phone down. And say..... hey "bill" clean up all that blood, we don't want people to know we was here. Bang pots and pans together.. 4.

I ask them personal information, age, where they live, how old they are, their cc number and tell them that I am recording this call for personal enjoyment and other reasons I say silly things like that. 3 Today ....I also am registered.... with the Do Not Call Registry but they chose to ignore it. One I hung up annoyed. The other I asked her for her phone # so I can call HER back during her dinner time.

The third onde I told him to hold on a second and very gently I hung up wondering how long he would be waiting. My son (30 ish) looked at me disapproving saying these people are trying to earn a honest living. Just say you are not interested.

That's really strange. I got zero telemarketing calls today, and that is true of most days. As a matter of fact, I doubt that I average more than about one telemarketing call per month.

I have never been on the Do Not Call registry. Whenever I receive "opt out" instructions from a credit card company or any other entity, I follow those instructions. When you take the "opt out" option, it really works.

Ugh! We're registered, too, but still get some calls. What I hate is that political campaigns & surveys are exempt from the law.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
