How much are you charged per kilowatt hour on a residential rate?

It differs from region to region and country to country. The cost is dependant on the method the electricity is generated. One of the lowest production costs is hydro electrical generation.

I pay 8 cents a kilowatt hour.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
