I was looking for a good breeder a few months ago because I've been considering getting one. Still thinking about it. I've found that you shouldn't pay more than $700-$900 dollars.
I'm in Australia too. I breeder that I would highly look into is North West Parrot Aviaries, his prices are I think 700 or 800 for a hand raised male or female eclectus. He does a 4-6 month (not completely sure) socialising period, and makes sure that your new friend is as tame as possible so that he/she won't get problems later in life.
He has his own avian vets, and you can take a course, I think its 200 dollars or a little more, the course is with one of australians top avian behaviourists and they will teach you a lot of things about your new bird and that goes for 1.5-2 hours. If you want to know more, his email or mobile number, email me and I will send you info. I'm not sure if I should put up his private info on here, so if your interested email me.
Good luck! EDIT: He's in Samford, I think is ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
