If you're an experienced Journeyman with a Tech Diploma as well, your salary will be anywhere from 80-100k per year. Add overtime, bonuses, etc. Your gross income will be well into six figures. All depends on your work location, the company, and how much OT you want.

Self employed Journeyman Instrument Techs will charge $65-85 per hour. This is in Alberta, Canada, 2010.
