How much does the HMSA Foundation give in grants?

The Foundation has had a grantmaking program since 1998. Each year, we have made between $1.0 and $1.4 million in grants. €¢ What is the average grant size?

Grants range from a few thousand dollars to over one hundred thousand dollars. In recent years, the Foundation has made a number of large multi-year grants. For a typical one-year project, grants tend to be in the $5,000 to $30,000 range.

However, the HMSA Foundation does not limit itself with rigid rules. Grant proposals are considered individually and amounts should be commensurate with intended outcomes and the scope of the project. Efficiency in use of funds, however large or small the request, is always considered in funding decisions.

€¢ What are the chances of getting funded? Obtaining a grant from the HMSA Foundation is a competitive process. Based on recent experience, about one in four proposals (25%) are funded.

In a typical quarter, twenty proposals requesting about $1 million are reviewed. This amounts to many more ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
