As far as how much to tip a beautician, I feel it should be fifteen percent of whatever you spend as that is a normal rate of gratuity for service people. So, that would be $15 if your total cost of your hair was $100. An exception to this is if it is the owner of the salon that does your hair, as it is not customary to tip the owner of an establishment, but you do tip the workers.
If you can't pay fifteen percent, I would definitely do at least ten percent of your total bill for your hair. I just add the fifteen percent tip onto what the bill is and hand that to the beautician and say 'its all set'. Otherwise, if I have to pay up at the register, then I hand the tip to the beautician and pay the bill up at the cash register.
I always try to be discreet when I am giving anyone a tip as that is how you should do that as well. That's the best advice that I can give on tipping your beautician.
Maligayang Pasko (Merry Christmas), @tremaco! I guess it really depends on you. If she's been keeping you beautiful and you like her service then you can tip here maybe half of what you're paying her.
I don't have an idea where you are from and how much you are paying her for regular service so since it is Christmas time also, you can be generous now so for example if her service (haircut) costs you $1, you can give her a $5. Well that's just an example. I know we should vary in beauty services rates because we may be from different countries but that’s it.
Give a tip that you’d like to give and you know no matter how little it is it can surely make her happy.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
