How much time are you willing to commit to HubPages to increase your Hub Score?

Well, you probably love your kids more than hubpages so don't be depressed because you spend less time here than with them. It's a blessing to be able to play with your children. When they go to sleep or go out with somebody, then play on hubpages :)).

I sometimes don't get the time to check my stats for two months (or do anything else here), still my hubscore remains more or less the same. Good quality content and traffic will keep your hub score up and any interaction on the site will be another + for you.

I am in a similar situation to you and would love to be able to spend more time here on HubPages. I too work full time, and my time is spent either working, picking up the kids and trying to fit family time into our lives. I usually only get on HP for an hour or two at the most each day.

I tend to spend time on HP when the children are asleep in bed. I think that it is more important to spend time with your children while they are at an age where they do want to spend time with you. It's not like you will be missing out on a fortune!

I know what you are saying about the Hubscore though as mine fluctuates all the time - at one point I was at 94, now I can't seem to get past 89 or 90. I try not to let it worry me because I know that I can't be as active as I want to be - family time for me is much more important.

I agree with you 100% It takes many hours to write just one quality Hubpages. Our children plead with us to leave the computer to give them attention, play games, read stories, go outside, eat and prepare meals and simply have real conversations. Besides all of that, we do have business obligations and home maintenance responsibilities.

In one day my score can drop 3 to 5 points simply because I haven't been writing a new hub, commenting on other hubs or joining in the forum. It's a pretty sad state of affairs, which means we must make a moral and personal decision to say what is our priority. Family or Hubpages.P.S.I tweeted some of your Hubs.

I hope that helps.

I truly do not believe our Hubscore has anything to do with the time we vest in front of our monitors logged in to the website, or tweaking anything.

One writes a Hub, and depending on duplicate content, for example, quality and originality of context, and how well your audience receives it, you get a score.

Your score could even change seasonally. I wrote an article on Charles Atlas that sometimes reached 80 and other times is around 72, the same article!

Besides, I think your children (and my children) are right. For all the money we get paid here, does it really matter what our score is versus the fact that one day our children will grow and never play with us again?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
