Actually statistically not often at all! The last time a kid was supposedly poisoned by Halloween candy the kid had gotten sick because the uncle claimed the candy was laced with heroin. When in reality the kid had gotten into the uncle's stash of heroin and gotten sick from it that way instead!

That was back in the 70s...since then, I don't think any kids have been poisoned by candy. It's basically an urban legend that's been blown out of proportion and truly believed by most adults.

All of my investigation on the topic has resulted in the same answers. No evidence of actual poisoning of children by the random distribution of candy at Halloween has ever been documented. Any Halloween related poisonings or deaths have been proven as directed against a specific child.

The 'urban legend' of candy poisoning at Halloween was used to cover up a heinous crime against a child. Razor blades and pins are occasionally documented as occurring but are considered pranks not intending death.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
