First you need to choose a very good dog shampoo. No cheap stuff, no human stuff. You get what you pay for here.
Good hint though. The very good stuff can be diluted at 50% shampoo and 50% water. So it actually costs less as you use far more.
Be certain you rinse every trace of soap off. If the shampoo is a good gentle one, you can shampoo once a week. If you are certain you rinse every trace away!
If the puppy is not dirty, I would limit the bathing to twice a month. Pugs shed. There is no way around it.
Here are some hints to help cut down on that. Get a brush for short coated dogs and use it. Get him used to it now.
Once a day. Also, a wash rag over the coat, daily. Get it wet, wring it out.
Use it. It will get a lot of hair off. Another way to reduce the shedding is by diet.
Feed the very best food you can afford and use a coat supplement. There are some really good ones on the market at PetCo and Pet Smart. Or you can make your own.
Add a tsp of olive oil to his food. Do not need to get the expensive extra virgin. Be aware this is added fat.
You may want to cut back on his food a tiny bit if he has a tendency to be too heavy.
No more than once a month. More than that can really dry out his skin. Pugs shed quite a bit, and baths won't help that.
A good daily brushing helps with shedding.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
