I change mine every 5000miles. Some newer cars can handle every 7500 miles. Synthetics generally can last longer than regular oil because of its higher level of purity.
Older cars may need to be changed more. Often even with synthetics simply because the design of the engine allows for more. Soot build up.
I would check the cars manual though too.
Its a 2000. Awesome thats about how long I let mine go before I change it. I will be sure to do that thanks for your help.
Porsche recommends changing at 15,000. I change mine at 3,000 because oil is lot cheaper than a new engine.
The dealer recommended mileage on newer vehicles is every 6 months or 5,000 miles. I still stick with the old recommendation of every 3,000 miles considering I do a lot of city driving, which is harder on your engine. Synthetic oil just has smaller molecules which makes it easier to cool and lubricate your engine.
When you should change your oil isn't any different than conventional oil.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
