Actually, in my opinion, they are decent locks. However, Major, a company specializing in locksmith tools, has just designed a tool that opens any Kwikset bump-resistant lock with a simple turn. The tool destroys a part of the lock but the lock will still function with the existing key.
However, you will no longer be able to re key the lock again. The problem is that thieves will eventually get this tool, enter your home, and you will never know it. My knowledge of this tool is limited to information I received at a lock distributor counter.
I do not know how well this tool works or whether it is a real threat. As a consumer, you may need to research this potential problem before making a purchase. However, Kwikset is supposed to have solved this problem by making the lock stronger.
The older Smart-Key locks you have may need to be replaced. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
