The following are some ways to prepare for a hospital stay if you have multiple sclerosis (MS): Before going into the hospital, ask your doctor if he or she can supply recent X-rays or lab tests so that you can avoid undergoing duplicate testing. If at all possible, avoid entering the hospital on a Friday -- you might spend the weekend waiting for lab work that won't be done until Monday. Take along all the things you need from home to be comfortable.
Bring in whatever you want from home, like a favorite pillow, a reacher, amplified telephone receiver, and so forth. Make sure to take along a list of phone numbers and addresses you may need including both common numbers (close family and friends) as well as less common numbers (your next-door neighbor, landlord or property manager, employer, medical supply company, etc.). Keep this list near your bedside.
Before you are hospitalized, it is best to designate one person to be the one in contact with your doctor. That way, one person is asking the questions on behalf of the family, which avoids duplication of effort by both your family members and your physician. Before an emergency or scheduled hospitalization arises, be sure to have an Advanced Medical Directive and Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care in place.
These documents will allow your family or designated health care agent to make important medical decisions should you be unable to do so.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
