American companies are doing away with some jobs for these reasons but to tell the truth, many American companies are doing damage to the American workforce staying right here in the USA. They will lay off employees and cut back so the CEOs can make more money, or they might have another company come in and buy them out and get rid of all the employees and hire new ones and pay them allot less money. Its amazing what these major companies will do to make a buck and how many people they will hurt so the CEO's can take home more cash.

I am not sure why any one would ever vote to give these companies more power.

They have been saying that with every new innovation all through history. People had to learn new things. No big deal.

People adjust.

With every machine and computer that replaces an unskilled job , it creates three skilled jobs to operate and maintain.

How many jobs were replaced by the machines and gadgets you use at the job your doing now. Deciding to freeze yourself in time like the Amish is never the answer.

Corporate america is always after the bottom line first. And the politicians, many times, look the other way.

A computer is only intelligent as the person who programmes it. A Robot is only as intelligent as the person who programmes it. Human beings have the intelligence to invent.

New jobs will come on the market because of Research and Development. Do some courses where you train to fix computers and robots that break down and need servicing. Or get more actively involved in community groups where you learn arts and crafts and new hobbies where you can meet people with the same interests as you.

Or look at starting up a small business of your own in the Service Industry. If you lose your job then do a web search of these phrases: How to stay positive Emotional support for job seekers How to deal with job rejection How to write a successful CV.

As soon as they can make that happen. So long as it is less cost and more efficient to not use human beings, or foreign labor....they will do so. What does one do?

Find other paths to making a living. Should that become impossible for the masses....there will be anger and action (inevitable).

The sooner the better, maybe you deadbeat union slobs should go back to school or start your own businesses and stop robbing and taking advantage of others intellectual prowess. START RELYING ON YOURSELVES, and you make jobs for others and let them redistribute the wealth that you earn.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
