How to build an Equatorial telescope mount for a 7ft long refractor with a 6 inch lens I have a 6 i/2 ft long 6 inch refractor and need an equatorial mount for it. I cannot afford a commercial mount. Is it possible to build a mount at home.

This could dramatically effect the cost and performance. You could indeed build an equatorial mount, but the complexity and effort it would take are substantially increased. If you are considering only using the telescope for visual use (no photography) I would highly recommend an alt-azimuth design.
A simple alt-az mount is a quick few evening project that will get you up and running quickly. An alt-az design is also much easier to setup and use. Consider these designs... Slightly over complex, but the basic idea is right Just what you are looking for (I think) The book "Build Your Own Telescope" by Richard Berry has an alt-az mount for a large refractor detailed out.
You can either build your own tripod or just get a heavy duty tripod from somewhere. You can often find heavy photographic tripods, or commercial tripods used. I use an old Bogen heavy duty tripod I bought used for my smaller refractor on an alt-az head.
If you decide you really need to do an equatorial head for the scope you can make one. There are a number of plans available that people have developed over the years. Most use various forms of pipes and fittings to make the shafts.
Check out Thompson’s book for some classic plans that would work well. Berry’s book also contains equatorial designs that are a bit more up-to-date. Or just roam the links below for ideas, just about anything that can be tried has been tried by generations of amateur telescope builders.
Now for a few just generally useful telescope making links... A link right to the ATM forum on CloudyNights. Ask any question, these guys know every bit of the details when telescope and mount making, how to do it and where to get it. A list of sites devoted to ATM, including mine.
Maybe build a quick and fast alt-az design while you are working on the equatorial design. The tripod could be used for both. Hope this helps!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
