I got the answer from Sitecore Support: The cache is used by Log, Theme and Language providers To change the cache size value just add the following setting to the web. Config file: setting name="Caching. SmallCacheSize" value="200KB.

Not quite sure if this is what you are asking for, but there are ways to adjust the cache sizes, you can find them here: sdn.sitecore.net/Articles/Administration... if this isn't what you were looking for, please do say so.

It's been a while since I worked in Sitecore 5.3, but I don't recall there ever being a 'Standard holders' cache. You may need to check your code for use of a custom cache named 'Standard Holders'.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
