Worship is our duty and it is also a privilege. But why should God reward us for doing what we ought to do? That would be like giving a child a present for doing what its parents instructed it to do.
But yes, according to how we lived on Earth, God will give commensurate blessings in Heaven. However, our getting to Heaven is not a reward for anything; nobody deserves to enter into God's holy presence, for we are all unholy. We all offend God (every day of our lives, if we are honest with ourselves) and our sin needs to be atoned for - removed.
As "all our righteous acts are as filthy rags" in God's sight, we need to agree with God's verdict on us; we are sinners who cannot merit Heaven. Only what God has done to redeem us will get us there. We have to accept, in all humility, our utter dependence on God's good will towards us.
Then our good deeds will glorify God and not us.
Salam Yes you are right that it is true that worship leads only to reward but success in hereafter depends upon our good deeds given to others who need it during our lives.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
