How to invite or import my contact from email providers(like gmail, yahoo) to My website?

No, you don't have to pay anything to the provider if you choose to do this. The problem I have with doing this is you are essentially allowing a 3rd party to access your email. It will log in with your credentials and access all of the contact information you have.

There may be people in your contact list that you just don't want as Facebook friends or you don't want to give access to your Facebook profile (say, a boss or coworker, an ex girlfriend, a spammer? ) Facebook and many other sites allow you to import a manipulated list. You could, instead of giving Facebook access to your email account (which is just bad security practice in general) export your contacts, remove those people you don't want on Facebook (or your other site), then import into Facebook.

When importing into Facebook, some rules to follow: The first line has to have the words "Email Addresses" in it (no " marks). The second and remaining lines need to be just email addresses. Here's a sample: Email Addresses [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] So after exporting your list to CSV file and deleting the rows of people you don't want, you then have to delete the columns of extra information like name, address, etc.(or copy/paste the 1 column into a new file).

The file should be saved as a . CSV (comma separated value) text file. If you don't have Excel to manipulate the data, you can try http://www.openoffice.org/ Open Office Calc to do the same thing.

Just remember to use "File/Save As..." and select CSV as the file type. They give you a few options for type of CSV sometimes. Just choose Text or MS-DOS - Windows if you can't find either of these.

Now that you have a list, while logged into Facebook click on "Friends" or "Find Friends" If you look closely, you'll see a link for "Upload Contact File".
