How to treat a non-herpes fever blister on the lip?

I usually find it's best to try and dry them up, that way they seem to shrink without turning into a messy looking blotch. There now several "over the counter" remedies for these beastly things, they are mostly called cold sores, not sure why, because they are nothing to do with the common cold. I have yet to find one that works any better than my home remedies, I have two ways of dealing with them, both will sting a bit, but no pain, no gain.

At the first sign of one I dab it with cheap aftershave lotion or cologne on a cotton bud, the cheaper the better, they have a higher spirit content. If this is not effective after a few times, I then use Hydogen Peroxide H2 O2. This will fizz up on contact and kills germs.

Keep applying every couple of hours and it should disappear.

Until somebody chimes in here that really knows what they are talking about. Soak it for at least a half hour to get it soft and clean, then put some Vaseline on it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
