The ability to treat breast cancer changes with each stage. The more advanced the stage, the harder it is to treat. This website has a helpful chart with stages and percentages of those that survived treatment: cancer.org/cancer/breastcancer/detailedg... The main symptoms of breast cancer are a lump or change in the skin of the breast, unusual nipple changes, and discharge that is not breast milk.
More helpful information is here in the "understanding breast cancer" section: breastcancer.org/symptoms.
