How was the Heliocentric theory proved?

While not the only discovery that led to the acceptance of a Heliocentric Universe, Galileo's observation of the phases of Venus in the early 17th century was a major contributor. With the advances he made with his telescope he effectively refuted the Ptolemaic system which was widely accepted during his time. Copernicus was responsible for most of the theory, but it wasn't proven until long after his death.

I have a hub about how Galileo responded to some of the criticism he received for reporting his findings that might be of interest: hubpages.com/hub/Galileo-Defends-Heliocentr.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
