Ricky Bobby, I think you are underestimating the contribution Postiga had to that Portugal side, I would say Ronaldo narrowly beat him out as the major contributor to that team, as we all know Ronaldo has a slow start to the Euro 2012. However it's possible Ronaldo will win this year's Balon d'Or because of the voting cycle. As far as I know, it was voted on a few months ago, before Messi broke Muller's record and while Ronaldo was still considered the slight favorite among many pundits and fans.

Give me five reasons why Messi deserves it, oh wait you can't. Cristiano Ronaldo, scored against every La Liga team last season. His second consecutive season for scoring 40 goals in La Liga.

He's definitely proven in the EPL and La Liga. He can play anywhere on the field. LM, LW, ST, RW, and you can even play him as a second striker.

He played as a second striker from time to time while at Manchester United. He played as a CF during the middle of the 10-11 season because Benzema was out of form and Higuain had a back injury. Last season Cristiano Ronaldo scored more than the other best wingers in the world COMBINED; Robben, Nani, Valencia, Ashley Young, and Di Maria.

Ronaldo can adapt to different playing styles and still play well while Argentina had to conform to the style of Messi in order for the team to function properly, which is pathetic. Same problem with Barcelona; when Messi isn't having a good game, Barcelona isn't having a good game either. Not to mention, Ronaldo won the more important trophy last year and was the sole reason Portugal got to the Semi-Finals in the Euro.

Without him, they would have been out at the group stage. So please, tell me how Messi deserves it?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
