It's in there. Lots of morbidity involves low blood oxygen. If we knew how people living in a low oxygen environment (Tibetans for example) survive disease and injury we could perhaps find ways to treat those that were suffering from emphysema or congestive heart failure where the conventional wisdom says low blood oxygen, no cure.

It's exciting actually. Never stop learning, that's my motto.

I can see how it would help asthmatics and those suffering from emphysema but not nearly as effecient as searching for cures in space. If in fact it is the lack of gravitational forces that are the cause of whichever ailments.

3 Drugs don't work. Rhodiola already works to raise oxygen in the brains/body of people in low oxygen conditions. It was used by Olympic people and astronauts and mountain climbers.

Coenzyme Q10 and others that help the mitochondria burn more oxygen already exist. MS is just low oxygen to the brain and so is depression/anxiety/panic/suicidal thoughts/no sleep and more.

The gravity is pretty much the same even at high altitudes on Earth. I guess that's a question inside a question. Don't get your premise.

5 If people lived for long periods in space, their oxygen levels could be adjusted and more accurately monitored to about par with Tibetans. The article made it sound like this was a breakthrough in bioscience, one that we could have discovered anyway with livable space stations. This user has been banned from Askville.

Do you think the problem with human longevity will be solved once scientists find cures for all diseases or do you think.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
