How would this quote from Thomas Jefferson square with Obama's health care plans?

First a little history for you. Thomas Jefferson had absolutely NOTHING to do with the writing or ratification of our Constitution....he wasn't even in the country when it was happening. That having been said, he was still a founding father.

Now as to your question....it's difficult to speculate the exact opinion of our founding fathers' opinions on this subject. 1. Immigration was not a problem in our country during their day.

2. They didn't have any immigration laws at the time. 3.

They most likely would have welcomed all immigrants with open arms at that time. Were they alive today....illegal immigration probably would not be a problem. The founding fathers had foresight...the ability to see problems before they occur...therefore if they were alive and in charge today, they would have already taken the necessary steps to solve this before it became a problem.

But you must remember these were intelligent, self-sacrificing men that worked for the greatest good for this country...as opposed to the narcissistic idiots we have in power today that work toward lining their pockets and their friends' pockets with our tax dollars. I'm very partial to number 3....the mothers should not have been on U.S. soil at the time of birth and the anchor babies have no right to citizenship now or in the future....

Definitely number 3. They were born to mothers who shouldn't have been on U.S. soil at the time of the birth (meaning they were here illegally) so the child has no right to citizenship now. He may choose to come to United States legally when he is old enough to do so on his own or if his parents want to give him permission and resources he will need to come here legally.

Constitution can be amended to deal with the problem of anchor babies.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
