I would switch it off for a day or two, let it dry in a very dry spot, then blow compressed air into every oriface, for a minute or two. Should do the trick.
It may have had something stuck in the ventilation and it was just pushed out after turning on a few times. If it is working fine, then don't worry about it. However, if you ever take in the computer for repair, and they find liquid damage, they may not cover the repair under warranty.
If you have accident protection, I would take the computer to apple and have them look to make sure everything is OK.

One of the key factors here was if it contained sugar. Sugar can, over time, corrode electrical connections. There's also a factor that you've spilled a live active bacteria and milk on it.So any you don't remove is soon going to start moulding and smelling.
