I am a teacher/father looking to enroll in a doctorate program. My college debt is huge. Are there any scholarships, grants?

Here in Michigan, we have the No Workers Left Behind Program, if they have the money they fund short term schooling, 2yrs or less. Does your area have the PELL Grant, thats a huge one, it will fund entire semesters, plus a check for books n such. Because you already have schooling, you are eligible for speacialty scholarships, and if you had a good GPA, you qualify for even more funding.Im interested in returning to school to specialize in an area of neurology, and because its such a specialized field, its hard to find the people willing to get the education to fulfill such a position, therfore they offer huge scholarships to help keep you in school.

A doctorate is one of those things. FASFA- Student Finacial Aide, its a form we fill out in michigan after we apply for our college of choice, it funnels your information through determining what programs you are eligible for, this is how we get the pell grant here. I cant imagine how that varies from state to state.

I say, call the college you are most interested in attending. Ask them if they offer a program that can guide you to resources pertaining to financial aide/grants/scholarships You can research online companies that may be willing to pay for your education as well. Sometimes you can win scholarships with a well written paper submitted to the right place.

This is going to take some research, good luck to you!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
