I am looking for a data entry job that I can do at home on my laptop. Does anyone know of a legit and reputable company, that is not a scam?

Try getafreelancer.com I do some jobs on this site and what you do is select 10 subjects that you are good at (there are so many I cannot list them) I know data entry is one of them. Then, you do a search for jobs needed doing data entry. This site is legit because I have done jobs before and been paid, my only income is on the internet and I really don't like giving out real job sites that you don't have to pay for that actually pay for you but I like helping people out so I don't mind sharing the information.

Another site that you don't have to pay for and usually has over 60,000 jobs at one time available to do is mturk.com. There are a lot of jobs there, I am not sure that I saw any data entry but check it out anyway. I write reviews and get paid $10 and I write essays for all different amounts.

You can try odesk. Com for data entry jobs. I got paid for several small projects in that website.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
