I am looking for sources of a story about pre-20th century European police and Pinkertons Pigs.?

Were I live now we have area police. Most are looked up to. But I would not ask them to help move furniture.

They have a job to do and that is to be were needed not helping you move furniture. Off duty they have a private life. If you are part of there private life & friend then you can ask for that help.

True here they may pick up a kids bike from down the street & put it back in the right yard but you do not ask them to do such.

Many times, if I need help, I call a friend. Maybe it is help moving furniture, getting a jump on my car battery, watching my pets when I need to go out of town... But I have different groups of friends... Horse friends, neighborhood friends, moving friends, many others... some of the folks in one group may be part of another group. But there are times when my non-police friends are not equipped to help - like if my house is broken into or someone steals my car or I am attacked - for these sorts of things I call my friends, the police.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
