Here's what I used I don’t know where you live, but I'd recommend something like 1-800-Pack-Rat or PODS, one of those places that will bring a container to your home for you to pack and then will either store it or move it when you're ready. I appreciated the ability to pack and unpack at my leisure, but I did have people to help me.

Generally when I used a company it was through my old work so they paid for things. They go with the lowest bidder which was mostly Mayflower. That being said.. I truly believe you get what you pay for.

They broke a lot of my stuff. Though I did get reimbursed.. some of those things were precious. Do so at your own risk!

I have seen professional movers in the NYC area. And, I have seen movers with drunken workers. The big national movers are expensive and not necessarily better than local/regional players.

When I was younger and had less stuff, I always moved myself, recruiting friends and family to help. I could no longer do that. It has been a while since I last moved.

I used a local mover. So did my parents when they downsized to an apartment from a house. As I recall, nothing was broken.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
