The hardcover book had a dust jacket and I read mostly Doubleday (Sword and Rose) published books. It was published mid to late 70's. The Characters names are Caroline Spencer?
And Drew. On the cover it is a drawing of their faces. Caroline has her hair up and Drew has a beard and long hair to his shoulders kind of mean looking but of course he was really nice.
I remember that the story is set in Victorian England. Can you please help me find this book. Please help me find this as it was a a big part of my late teens early 20's.
Thank you so much. - Patricia W.In Bowling Green, KY Sources: http://www.abebooks.com/docs/Community/BookSleuth/Archives/Unsolved/jul31.shtml .

Book about a young boy maybe 14 years old.. Alphonse Gabriel "Al" Capone (January 17, 1899 – January 25, 1947) was an American gangster who led a crime syndicate dedicated to smuggling and bootlegging of liquor and other illegal activities during the Prohibition Era of the 1920s and 1930s. Born in Brooklyn to Southwestern Italian immigrants Gabriele and Teresina Capone, Capone began his career in Brooklyn before moving to Chicago and becoming the boss of the criminal organization known as the Chicago Outfit – though his business card reportedly described him as a used furniture dealer.1Although he was never successfully convicted of racketeering charges, Capone's criminal career ended in 1931, when he was indicted and convicted by the federal government for income-tax evasion. Capone has been portrayed on screen by Nicholas Kokenes, Wallace Beery, Paul Muni, Barry Sullivan, Rod Steiger, Neville Brand, Jason Robards, Eric Roberts, Ben Gazzara, Robert De Niro, William Devane, Titus Welliver, Michael Anthony Custodio, Anthony LaPaglia and William Forsythe. In the 1932 film Scarface, Capone was fictionalized as "Antonio 'Tony' Camonte" (played by Paul Muni).
Capone also is a supporting character in Road to Perdition, based on the Graphic Novel which he was also in. Capone is also a supporting character in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, played by Jon Bernthal. Sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Capone#Literature .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
