I am trying to think of a movie from either the late 70s or early 80s. I thought it was a Star Wars film, but it wasn't? It was sci-fi.

There was a game kind of like Russian roulette, where there was a big rock or an organic device about 3 or 4 feet high, maybe 8 feet across, with multiple holes in it. Players would have to choose a hole to put their arms down into, with the possibility that something inside it would bite off their hand or arm. That's as clearly as I can remember it, now does anyone know what it was?
