Refurbished means taking a used item and restoring it to the original condition it was in when it was new.
It means the unit was returned to the factory for some reasons like: 1. The previous owner didn't like it for whatever reason so he/she returned it within the grace period (usually 14 days). It doesn't mean it's damaged or defective.2.
There was a defect discovered by the owner and something had to be fixed and replaced but the previous owner insisted on getting a different model 3. The unit was used for demo in showrooms and therefore has been unboxed. Newer models came in and the older one had to be disposed.
In any case, a refurbished unit is rechecked at the factory and restored to factory settings and all to make sure that everything's functioning as supposed to be. You might find some minor and cosmetic scratches but those don't have anything to do with the functionality. Of course the price will be a lot cheaper than a brand new one as it is refurbished but will have the same warranty just as well.
It is illegal for shops to sell refurbished items and post them as brand new. That's why they have to be explicit to make customers aware that they are selling a refurbished item. Want to know further why the price is cheaper?
It's not because the unit is old but the previous owner paid for the return of the unit. He/she shouldered the difference between the brand new and refurbished cost. It's called "restocking fee".
The computer was returned - maybe someone just decided it wasn't their cup of tea or whatever. Anyway, it went back to Acer and was made like factory new. They carefully check them out before they release them. It, no doubt, even has a warranty.
You made out like a bandit! Congratulations!
Refurbished means something was wrong with the hardware and it was either repaired or replaced. Aside from a slight chance at it going out sooner than a non-refurbished one you'll be fine.
It's a used laptop that has been wiped over with lemon pledge, there is nothing in a laptop to "refurbish" if they had replaced parts its "repaired.
It means used but not very used. I buy a laptop and return it the next day because my wife hates the color.
LoL! Now you ask! It mean it was defective and was fixed!
And as good as new! With warranty and all!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
