I can't get my form to validate AND submit using jQuery validation?

You have a few problems, your form submit code doesn't have curly brackets around it, and you don't have a function for validate email, try this.

I've gave you an easy way to validate your all inputs/textarea within one function but you have to complete it, I've just gave you the structure and only name validation has done as an example for you and I hope you can understand it easily. If you need more help/difficulties just leave a message. This should be placed inside ready event.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
