At the time I was on a psychedelic drug called 2C-T-2 - a medium dose - which I've done many times before - its a stimulating phenethylamine with minor MAOI activity (perhaps only at high doses). I mistakenly took 5mg of propranolol, a non-selective beta blocker and before long was feeling faint and had to lie down. After about 10 seconds I lost consciousness.
I must have been out for about 30 seconds and came to with my friend shaking me looking terrified. He said go puke, which I did to get rid of any more of the propranolol. He just recounted to me (2 days later now), I quote: "I don't think you were breathing as you weren't moving and when you came to you were gasping for breath badly like you'd just been strangled.
You were also quite white and stiff with a look of horror on your face. Despite the CPR it was only when I prayed to God for you to live that you woke up. Scariest moment of my life."
He said at the time that when I lost consciousness I had my eyes open and looked as ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
