I feel so LONELY, and I literally have NO FRIENDS at high school....?

In high school you'll most likely find someone like you. You hear this from a super shy guy (super shy guy...lol). Im like you, it's hard for me to take the initiative to talk to someone.

I had a hard time enjoying my summer thinking I was not going to find people with the same interests and that I was going to be alone. But today, today I just said eight easy words that saved my freshmen year, "Do you mind if I stick with you?" not the best or coolest way to start a friendship but it's something. I looked for someone who looked like we could have something in common and I did find the right people.

You're scared into trying to find friends, that;s what I felt, but even the stupidest or simplest word can be the beginning of something new...im sorry you probably already figured out why I have a problem with most people...

I know how you feel, I just started at a brand new school and went from being in the "popular" crowd to a complete loner. I have been sitting by myself at lunch since school started, when I sat next to somebody else they ignored me. I have been diagnosed with GAD, so it is hard for me to make new friends or even get out simple words out like "Hello" without my voice trembling.

Just remember you don't need a ton of friends you only need ONE good friend, so first just try being friendly at tennis. Seem approachable, even when it is hard try and smile or just wave if you see somebody look at you. Try and have idle chit chat with the person whose locker is next to you.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
