Two quotes and a thought Neil Gaiman (my favorite author) has a great set of quotes from his series Sandman to do with this: Chloe: "When I dream, sometimes I remember how to fly. You just lift one leg, then you lift the other leg, and you’re not standing on anything, and you can fly. So what I want to know is, when I’m asleep, do I really remember how to fly?

And forget how when I wake up? Or am I just dreaming I can fly? " Dream: "When you dream, sometimes you remember.

When you wake, you always forget. " Chloe: "But that’s not fair..." Dream: "No. " Later and in a different part of the same series narrating about a man who dreams that he is falling, but he keeps waking up before it ends, so he doesn’t know what happens: "Sometimes you wake up.

Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly. " I’ve been able to fly in my dreams before, but usually it feels so commonplace to me in the dream, that my dream-self doesn’t really notice or remark upon it.

Usually my flying then is more of a disembodied gliding (I very rarely am aware of what shape I am - if any - in my dreams). If you think your dreams have deep meaning and are really close to them, then it kind of depends on how you view the flying. You enjoy it, you think it is marvelous, perhaps it symbolizes things you’d like to do or things you enjoy.

Or perhaps it is your mind’s way of relaxing after a hard day’s work. It you are less close to your dreams, enjoy it as long as you possibly can! Sources: Neil Gaiman.Sandman..

Most unusal experience I fly in my dreams all the time too and not with the aid of any aircraft... just kind of float. I would like to share a story with you in hope you will rate my answer high... ;-) I was a kid living in Japan. I was 11.

We had just moved into a Japanese house off-base (with the Japenese) and I was yet to explore the neighborhood. I had a flying dream and dreamt I flew around the neigborhood. I remember I was anxious because I really was over a new neighborhood and I was concerned about being able to find my way home.In the middle of the block we lived on I saw some lights and flew down and saw an empty clay tennis court.

It was strongly lit and had a number of rubber balls laying around as if someone had just finished hitting practice balls and left them all over the court. The balls were pink rubber... not like American balls.Anyway... the weekend came and I walked around that block looking for an entry way into the middle so I could see if there was really a tennis court there. I couldn't find any entry way.

A few months went by and I was on the street and saw a couple of Japanese guys with tennis rackets heading into the block. I found a dirt pathway but 3 feet wide and covered mostly with vegetation (a hedge?) that almost completley obliterated the entrance. I followed them at a distance into the pathway and came out into the very tennis court I had seen in my dream.

Weird? Never understood how that happened. When I had kids of my own they slept-walked and once my daughter (11) tried to get out the front door and I stopped her and guided her back to bed.

I always wondered if she would have walked out and "explored" the neigborhood and then came back and dreamt she had flown. I always wondered if I actually slept walked out of the house (I was known for sleep walking) and that went undetected by my parents. I still have these dreams and some of my "flights" are very far away... so I don't see sleep walking them.

Some personal mystery I have never solved I guess. Sources: Personal Experience .

I'm no expert but I've always heard that dreams about flying are sexual. I'm no psychologist but I think that when you dream of flying you're having an orgasm. That's why it's so wonderful!

I've experienced it many time and just enjoyed the ride. I don't think it means anything negative your mind and body are just expressing themselves. -layyla-'s Recommendations The Interpretation of Dreams Amazon List Price: $6.99 Used from: $0.75 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (based on 33 reviews) Freud and Beyond: A story of Modern Psychoanalytic Thought Amazon List Price: $17.95 Used from: $8.67 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 13 reviews) .

1 I have no idea what it means, but I am always impressed that people do that. I know two other people who regularly fly in their dreams. Both very intelligent and creative.

I flew once in a dream. It was nice, but i've never been able to do it again. Do you do other things in dreams that you can't do in real life?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
