I gave my 16 year old daughter a car for her birthday and she got angry! Anyway on getting her to talk to me?

Well, if you were my mom, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to forgive you. But privacy is very important to me, so I can't speak for you daughter. It was wrong of you to read her diary; I understand maybe the first page, but after that you must of realized what it was and you should of put it back.

Sure, you are legally allowed to read it, but that does not validate it. She needs somewhere to vent harmlessly. Why in the world would you tell her friends those kinds of things?

Is she wanted them to know, she would tell them herself. They are her friends; she is the one who has to see them everyday; she is the one who knows who to trust with sensitive information in her group. You were wrong to tell them anything.

You are a mom - not a teenage gossiper anything. After all that, you have to ask why she doesn't trust you? You betrayed her time after time.

Just because she is your daughter, that doesn't immediately garner trust. You have to work for it just as much as she would have to work for your trust. You may be trying to help, but all you are doing is harming your relationship and her self-esteem.

Well If this would have happened in my country I would day give her a good whip in the back and in no time she would be the next daughter of Samm. But in this case I will honeslty say this , that you have committed mistakes. Yes you apologized thats good.

But she still is angry with you. The best way would be to try to talk to her until she lets you . SO that she can get the angry burried inside her out .

Then she will feel more relieved . Then perhaps you could spend a mother daughter day with her. Finally you should stop telling her friends things about her that she doenst want and lets her down infront of her friends.

I don't understand why you keep sharing her secrets with her friends . You should stop seriously . YOu are her mother and you should what if you were in her sitution and your mom would do the same with you when you were 16?

Would you like it?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
