No it isn't. I had cataract surgery as well and I can hardly read - my sight cannot be corrected with glasses any more - not to any degree. Reading glasses help to some extent.
The kindle was useless to me. It was just simply too dark and the text could not be enlarged enough. I've read that they have made the background less dark - it's gray.
I sent mine back but I haven't seen the newest version. It would have to have been an enormous improvement. I think the Ipad may be a better solution for you -- as long as you don't have the associated dry eyesyndrome and looking at a bright screen exacerbates the condition.
Thanks to both my answerers! Ill make sure to see what Im buying before I buy! Maybe best buY?
I do have some allergies that make my eyes water a bit...Im sorry I had that surgery>i was actually doing fine w/glasses for driving and reading w/out ANY HELP! Ill research it at the store thoroughly...thanks again.. lizouttavegas 11 months ago .
You're welcome. And I'm sorry I had the surgery too.
Kindle is not backlit so reading it is just like reading a normal book. The font size is adjustable and font can be quite large. See here for details com/2010/08/new-kindle-3-review-hands-on/#fonts.
Thanks! Ill be sure to research the product in person before I spend! I wonder if Im just not in the mood to read?
God, its gonna be a long slow walk to heaven if thats the case! Lol lizouttavegas 11 months ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
